For Roslyn and Andrew’s styled engagement shoot we wanted to do something that was romantic and a little different – so we took for a trip in a row boat! As Andrew paddled the boat up the river they were chased by ducks and photographer alike. Inspired by pastel roses, flower crowns and a secluded lakeside we created a whimsical scene at their next stop with flower arrangements, succulents and ceramic fish. While taking photos at the trees along the foreshore a playful fox bounded past the couple and looked quizzically at our shoot in progress before vanishing into the grass. It was so nice to do a photo shoot out of Sydney and into nature.

Lovely as usual Hil :)
Hey Hilary – what a great shoot! Love every image, the location, the concept and a gorgeous couple too.
What caused the out of focus “pink blurs” in the first image – post or in camera?
Also, great to interview you for the podcast, thanks for coming on and sharing some great info.
Hi Andrew, the “pink blurs” are actually flower petals that we tried to scatter at the couple.
Hi! I love your shots, and the location! Where were these taken?
Hi, these are lovely photos taken at an amazing location! Just wondering would I please be able to find out where in Sydney these were taken! I really love the location and really want to go paddling in such an area!
