We met 9 years to the day on our wedding day, so the date was a significant one for us. We wanted a wedding where all our friends and family could come together in one place for one event, so our ceremony and reception were both held on the beautiful grounds at Briars Country Lodge outside Bowral NSW. Our family and bridal party all stayed on site in their accommodation, and our guests mingled at their heritage pub after the ceremony while we had a ball taking photos with Hilary and Nicola!

The weather wasn’t looking good for our outdoor ceremony, but a break in the rain was perfectly timed and we moved into the stunning gazebo to play it safe. We wanted to personalise the day as much as possible, so the celebrant was a high school teacher of Samuel’s, Mallory’s hair was done by the same hairdresser she’s been seeing since she was 5, and our reception guests played a round of pub trivia between courses, just like we did on the night we met! We danced the night away to a playlist of our favourite songs thanks to our incredible DJ John, and Hilary and Nicola’s photo booth kept our guests entertained late into the evening.

It really was the happiest day of our lives, and by far the best party we’ve ever been to!
